Lesley Seaton

Having been to a few concerts and helped with the raffle I was finally persuaded to try an instrument.  I got three open notes and was hooked.  I chose the baritone for its mellow, low sound and it is comfy to hold.  I had just retired at 65 and the timing was perfect.  I started learning in August 2014 and was let in the band in January 2015 thanks to the help of Graham, Brenda and the Thursday players.  All the band are kind, helpful and supportive.
I play for at least an hour a day; thankfully my husband and the dogs ignore it.
I have played in the annual Big and Brassy concerts, an experience not to be missed.
My proudest moment was being awarded the Alan Brown Trophy by the other players.
