Our Spring Concert: Music from the Movies was a successful evening, with tunes from movies as varied as Pirates of the Carribean to Mary Poppins, and My Fair Lady to Rocky III. The audience enjoyed some complimentary popcorn, and were entertained between numbers by our musical director’s comedic interludes.
The Spring concert is when the band traditionally presents the Alan Brown Trophy, otherwise known as the Player’s Player award. This year, Lesley Seaton was the very worthy recipient. Congratulations to Lesley!
Thank you, as always, to everyone who helps us out with putting up and taking down the staging, teas and coffees, tickets, programmes and general help, and to all our supporters who come along and listen to our music. We are also extemely grateful to our wonderful deps who help us out (apparently willingly!) and boost our numbers.
