Sponsors

In 1988 Almac took on the sponsorship of the band. The Managing Director was Alan Brown; it was his own interest in amateur music making that prompted him to answer our advert. Since then we have enjoyed both his and his wife Kate’s continued support for the band.
Alan sadly passed away in August 2000, but since then Kate has become our sole sponsor.  
At our AGM in June 2001 Kate has also very kindly taken on the post of Band President.
Every year, a band member is awarded a prestigous award for excelling musically through the year, this trophy is named “The Alan Brown Trophy” in Alan’s honour. Please visit the Alan Brown Trophy page for information on who currently holds the award and previous winners.
