That’ll Do

What a fantastic Spring Concert that was! From Finlandia to The Locomotion, The Lonely Mill to Wind Beneath my Wings, and a fantastic rendtion of The Acrobat from Richard Hallett, it was certainly an eclectic programme. We were also extremenly honoured to welcome Norman Holden to sing “That’ll Do” from the film Babe, which was dedicated to those of our supporters who have sadly departed recently. We also had a special performance of “Toy Story – You’ve Got a Friend in Me” dedicated to one of patrons who we sadly lost this year.

The Spring Concert is the time for the “players’ player” award, The Alan Brown Trophy, to be presented. This year’s worthy winner was Ben Hallett, who has gone from strength to strength on the flugel and was the firm favourite! Well done Ben!

If you missed us this time, don’t worry, there are a number of events where you can come and see us over the summer. Our next appearance is at Woking Bandstand on 14th June 2pm-4pm. See here for more information.
