Thank you to all our supporters who joined us last Saturday for our first Spring Concert since 2019. The varied programme, from Singing in the Rain to the Radetsky March, was well received, and the band were pleased to be able to make a small tribute to Ukraine with a lovely piece called Prayer for Ukraine.
We were again lucky to be joined by vocal soloist Chloe Elliott, who beautifully performed Think of Me from Phantom of the Opera, and And All that Jazz from Chicago. The Alan Brown “Player’s Player” Trophy, as voted for by band members, was won by Gill Elliott.
As always, we are very grateful to everybody who helped make the evening a success. From band members, committee, family and friends who helped with setting up, refreshments, tickets etc, to all our lovely deps who came along to help as make the best music we can for you, we couldn’t have done it without you!
