LNOTP 2022

Full Band

We had a fabulous time on Saturday evening bringing to the audience our first full on Celebration of the Last Night of the Proms since the COVID-19 outbreak. After the first half containing a mixture of slow melodies, marches and some fairly well known tunes, the second half brought the traditional pieces associated with the LNOTP. There were waving flags, popping party poppers and a general bouyancy in the hall. We were also pleased to make our small tribute to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by playing one of her favourite hymn tunes, Praise my Soul.

We were lucky enough once again to be joined by vocal soloist, Chloe Elliott, who beautifully performed Rule Britannia as well as leading the audience in singing Jeruselem and the National Anthem. Chloe is a musical theatre performer, actor and composer and Masters graduate of the Guildford School of Acting.

We are very lucky as a band to have a fantastic support network, and we are very grateful to everyone one who helped to make this concert happen. Thank you also to our lovely audience, and to our brilliant deps who boost our numbers. We have a good level of membership, but always welcome new players of any ability, in any section. If you would be interested in joining our ranks, contact Graham here, or via our Contact Page.
