We just wanted to share this post with you, from our Vice Chair, Graham.
“Some bands are just about banding. Others offer real kindness and support as well. Almac Bisley Brass Band is one of them. In the last few weeks two trombone players in different bands 300 miles apart have died. Both were quiet, self-deprecating, individuals who made everyone feel better for meeting them. They were lovely men. Bisley’s Len Tamplin died in December. Russ Myers of the Royal Holborn Hill Band, Millom, Cumbria, died at the weekend. He was my father-in-law and visited us every year when Len – and other members of Bisley Band – got to know him. Members of Bisley Band have offered extraordinary kindness and support to both families. I just want to say a big thank you on behalf of ours.”
