Just like the real thing, there was singing, flag waving and party popping…..and a great performance from the band! The first half started with Breakfast Melody, and included the beautiful film music Crimson Tide and the very popular Best of Bond, with the highlight being the fantastic Trumpeter’s Lullaby played wonderfully by our principal cornet player Dave Meekings. The second half was mainly the traditional Last Night of the Proms music including Pomp and Circumstance, Fantasy on British Sea Songs and Jerusalem, with our very own Helen Cox leading the singing. A fantastic evening with great feedback from our lovely audience. With thanks to our ever appreciated deps.
